Commuter Club - Welcome

Please take note of 2 important changes to the forum.
First, I am testing an auto-post feature which will create posts based on News site RSS feeds. This will help post relevant and interesting stories without me having to get involved, a huge help on days I just don't have the time to post. This may result in posts appearing in an incorrect forum that I will move when I can. I am playing with the settings to find the optimal parameters to add value without overwhelming the forums with too many news postings.
Second, I've changed the way the site determines how to tell what posts you haven't read yet. The new way is more system intensive but effective, so we'll test it to see if it slows things down too much. You should see more posts going forward that you actually haven't clicked on.
We have several bloggers, please check out the Blog tab and take a look!
More enhancements are coming, keep an eye out!

The data from the old forums has been migrated! Thanks again to Tom who helped us out the last time we changed forum software. I highly recommend him.

You may notice some formatting changes and strange characters - moving the data is a complicated exercise and not every exact look and feel can be replicated.

I've moved over most threads from 2007 and later. A few forums were dropped and some threads moved to a different forum, however overall things should be where you remember them being. Contact me if there is any confusion or if you have any questions.

If you did not register before this migration, although the posts you made will indicate your name, you will not in fact be able to link to them. My apologies but this was the safest, most efficient method to migrate the many threads we have. And perhaps a lesson to remember to visit us every day!

Hope you enjoy the brand new Commuter Club website! We've been around since 2003 offering free forums and information for the Pocono community and surrounding regions. We will continue to do so, and perhaps expand our reach to some other areas of PA as well.

Register - click on the "Register" link in the top right hand corner

Complete the registration form - you will need to enter a few fields of information and check the box indicating you agree to the site/forum rules, then submit the registration form.
You will first validate your e-mail address - an e-mail is automatically sent to you and you need to click on the validation link. Make sure you check your junk or spam folder if you don't see it within an hour (it should appear within 5 minutes).
The Admin will activate your account after step 2 has been completed - you will receive an e-mail from the Admin letting you know that you are now ready to login!

Log in with your validated credentials - you are now authenticated for the entire site, not just the forums! ...
